As Color Me Badd, Wreckx-N-Effect and Tone Loc can attest, America loves novelty songs about sex. Khia’s “My Neck, My Back (Lick It)” owned the airwaves in 2002 and is likely raunchiest song to ever hit heavy rotation. “My Neck” is similar in tone to Adina Howard’s potent “Freak LIke Me”, but Khia is even more upfront about her desires. While Adina wanted a roughneck brother than could satisfy her in ’95, Khia tells the listener exactly what she wants that brother to do. And when those demands are made with a heavy drawl and set to a laid back Florida bounce beat, the result is a hit single. Unfortunately, Khia’s full length album “Thug Misses” suffers from a severe case of single-itis. The one song you’ve heard from Khia is the only one worth hearing.

“The album is not all ‘My Neck, My Back, it’s got a little thug, but it’s got some real sit back and listen to stuff.” -Khia

“This album is all ‘My Neck, My Back’. In fact, “Thug Misses” is less than that song, since most people are going to skip over it to see what else on the record. The only thing that’s thug about “Thug Misses” is the company that released it. If anyone paid ten bucks for this album, then Artemis Records jacked them about $9.75. ” – Joseph412
