The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB) have sent a letter to approximately 4,200 ad agencies, opposing the practice of “urban dictates.” This practice finds advertisers refusing to place spots on stations which primarily target African-American, Latino and non-English speaking listeners.
