Music-Slam Album Review: Lovage – Music To Make Love To Your Old Lady By

Lovage
Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By – 16 tracks 59:44

This ablum is by Dan the Automator, Mike Patton, Jennifer Charles, and Kid Koala. Most of the songs are duets between Charles and Patton about, as the title suggests, sex, role palying, adultery, one night stands, lust at first sight, and such. With conversations with Maseo and Africa Bambaata and a commercial by Damon Albun. I haven’t had the pleasure of listening to this album with a women, so I do not know if this record works better than Barry White or if “the hoes just go wild” as Chest Rockwell, a.k.a. Prince Paul, suggests. Jennifer Charles seems to relish this stylistic change from Elysian Fields. While Patton uses all of his vocal range. The production is well done and unconventional. At the same time the lyrics should be enough to woe anyone of either sex.
