Pop stars have jetted into Edinburgh as the city gears up for the MTV Music Awards.
Justin Timberlake arrived on a British Airways flight along with singer Pink.
While Pink – clutching a giant cuddly toy and bizarrely dressed in fluffy animal slippers – was happy to walk through the arrivals hall with fellow passengers – Timberlake chose the A list treatment.
He avoided autograph hunters and stepped into a car waiting on the tarmac which whisked him and his entourage to their luxury hotel.
Timberlake, 22, is staying in the Scotsman, one of Edinburgh’s best hotels, where the penthouse suite costs £950 a night.
There was no sign of his girlfriend, Charlie’s Angel star Cameron Diaz.
Other stars who flew into Edinburgh Airport today included Dido and guest presenter Minnie Driver.
Kylie Minogue arrived in the city on Tuesday as did action hero Vin Diesel, who is appearing in a series of sketches throughout tomorrow night’s live show.
He was spotted on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile on Tuesday having a last minute kilt fitting.
The awards, at the Ocean Terminal complex in Leith, are the biggest music event Scotland has staged.
Christina Aguilera is hosting the event which will be broadcast live to a worldwide audience of up to a billion people.
