Rapper Lil’ Flip and his label, Sony Music Entertainment, were hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit by Namco America over the rapper’s hit, “Game Over.” Allhiphop.com reports that the lawsuit, which was filed in US District Court – Southern District of New York, alleges that the rapper infringed upon Namco’s copyright by including sounds from the video games Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man in the original version of “Game Over” as well as the remix. The lawsuit alleges that the usage of the sounds were never cleared and that the song include references to guns and drugs. Namco is suing for unspecified damages.

“Game Over” was the lead single from Lil’ Flip’s latest release, U Gotta Feel Me. The set was certified platinum earlier this year for sales of a million copies.

Calls to Lil’ Flip’s representatives were not returned at press time.
