Former Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin says if Billy Corgan is reforming the band, he’s all for it.

Chamberlin told the Chicago Sun-Times, “I can only speak for myself in saying that I’m in, and I’m excited.”

It’s probably no surprise, given that Chamberlin and Corgan are still friends and they were both in Zwan.

Chamberlin said he has not spoken to bassist D’Arcy Wretzky since she left the band in August 1999. He said he still e-mails guitarist James Iha, and although they have not talked about a Pumpkins reunion, Chamberlin intends to reach out to him.

Chamberlin said he doesn’t really know what’s going on because it’s all still new. He says, “We really haven’t sat down at the table and figured out the nuts and bolts.
