Cohoes Police have arrested several members of a hip-hop group on their way to perform at the Cohoes Entertainment Complex.
Police said nine men were arrested when they responded to a report of two suspicious vehicles on Remsen Street Saturday.
Police searched the two customized Ford Vans and found marijuana, crack cocaine, an unlicensed handgun and ammunition. The men said they are members or employees of the group “Mobb Deep.”
The following arrests were made:
Albert Johnson, 29, of Pomona, NY
Dave St. Bernard, 46, of Brooklyn, NY
Alan Daniel Maman, 26, of New York, NY
Brett Brandon Edward, 38, of Bridgeport, CT
Javier Vazquez, 22, of Stratford, CT
Fred E. Allen Jr., 39, of Freeport, NY
Derrick Johnson, 28, of Bronx, NY
Jamal Abduiraheem, 26, of Jersey City, NJ
Tajuaw Akem Perry, 28, of Annapolis, MD
Each faced various charges. All but Albert Johnson and St. Bernard have been arraigned and released. Johnson remains in Albany County Jail. St. Bernard is awaiting a bail recommendation
