LOS ANGELES, CA Monday 11.10.2003 /netmusiccountdown.com/ — If your initials are G or J or Z, you’ll want to be paying attention on Friday, November 14. On that day, eTracks artists G-Unit (featuring 50 Cent) and Jay-Z will take it from the streets to the stores. G-Unit’s “Beg for Mercy” and Jay-Z’s “The Black Album” both go on sale that day, and will be duking it out for their shares of the listeners’ dollars. Jay-Z’s album has reportedly been snagged by bootleggers, and the new release date is an attempt to thwart widespread unauthorized sales and file sharing.

As a bonus, four “Beg for Mercy” albums of the first one million albums pressed will contain Golden Tickets. The winners who find these Golden Tickets will receive a chain with a diamond-studded G-Unit medallion, valued at $12,500. More on 50 Cent
