Rapper and actor DMX might want to consider hiring a driver. The rapper served 15 days in jail in 2001 for driving without a license, and in the past 12 months, he’s been arrested twice for the same infraction, most recently on Friday night (April 15), when he triggered a three-car collision on the Major Deegan Expressway in New York City. MTV.com reports that late Friday night, DMX’s vehicle hit another car, sending into a police cruiser. Two police officers and the driver of the first car were treated for minor injuries. The rapper was arrested for driving with a suspended license and released a short time later.

DMX was arrested on December 15, 2004, after authorities caught him driving 104 miles-per-hour in a 65 miles-per-hour zone in New Castle, New York. The rapper was charged with speeding, driving an unregistered vehicle, and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. The charges are still pending.

DMX’s driver’s license was suspended as part of a plea deal for a June 2004 road rage incident at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City. DMX was initially charged with criminal possession of weapons and drugs, criminal mischief, impersonation, menacing, DUI, and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the criminal complaint, DMX crashed his black 1998 Ford Expedition through an airport parking lot exit gate and told the attendant to let him leave because he was a federal agent. The rapper’s vehicle was equipped with lights and a siren.

The rapper then allegedly ordered a driver in a nearby parking lot to get out of his vehicle. When the driver refused, the rapper identified himself as a federal agent and grabbed the driver’s seat belt buckle before allegedly attempting to pull him out of the car. The unidentified driver’s 13-year-old daughter was in the backseat.

The rapper was ordered to forfeit his 1998 Ford Expedition as part of the plea deal.
