CBS-TV has scrapped plans for a Madonna concert special, which was scheduled to tape Monday (September 13) in Lisbon, Portugal during her Re-Invention tour. Reps said the program has been cancelled because the network and Madonna failed to agree on several terms. CBS planned to air a two-hour version of the concert, but Madonna reportedly said that couldn’t be done. The “Material Girl” also wanted it to run commercial-free, but CBS declined.

According to Billboard Boxscore, the North American leg of Madonna’s tour grossed $79.5 million.
