There’s little movement in the top rungs of the Billboard Hot 100 this week, with the first five entries staying put from the previous week. Beyonce’s single “Check On It” featuring Slim Thug leads the list, at No. 1 for a fourth consecutive week.
James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful” stays put at No. 2 while Nelly’s “Grillz” featuring Paul Wall and Ali & Gipp sticks to No. 3 on the Hot 100, Mary J. Blige’s “Be Without You” holds fast at No. 4, and T-Pain’s “I’m Sprung” keeps its No. 5 position.
Ascending from No. 9 to the sixth slot is Eminem’s “Shake That” featuring Nate Dogg, replacing Ne-Yo’s “So Sick,” which drops a notch to No. 7.
The chart’s greatest sales gainer, Sean Paul’s “Temperature,” rises 18-8. Chris Brown’s “Yo (Excuse Me Miss)” drops 7-9, and Jamie Foxx’s “Unpredictable” featuring Ludacris descends 8-10 to round out the Hot 100’s top tier.
Dem Franchize Boyz’ “Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It” featuring Lil Peanut & Charlay jumps 23-12 and is the Hot 100’s greatest airplay gainer, while Pink’s “Stupid Girls” is the chart’s top debut, at No. 24.
Other tracks new to the Hot 100 include Daniel Powter’s Bad Day (No. 55), Michael Stipe’s “In the Sun” (No. 69), Rihanna’s “SOS” (No. 81), Kanye West’s “Touch The Sky” featuring Lupe Fiasco (No. 90) and Saving Jane’s “Girl Next Door” (No. 91).
Daddy Yankee’s “Rompe” leads Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart for a 12th straight week, and Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus Take the Wheel” remains atop the Hot Country Songs chart for a sixth. Lifehouse’s “You and Me” holds at No. 1 on the Adult Contemporary chart for a fifth frame.
On the Modern Rock chart, 10 Years’ “Wasteland” moves one rung to seize the No. 1 spot from Weezer’s “Perfect Situation,” which falls to No. 2. Nickelback’s “Animals,” new to the Hot 100 at No. 96, is No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock tally for a third week.
