ALICE COOPER was presented with his own star on the HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME on Tuesday (December 2), which now sits between those of PLAYBOY founder HUGH HEFNER and country singer GENE AUTREY.

The star was given to Cooper by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in front of 1,000 fans, including ex-White Zombie frontman Rob Zombie.

Cooper told fans at the ceremony: “I promise every time I walk down this street I will polish that little star.”

He added: “We would walk over the names of Vincent Price, Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi never, ever thinking that our names would ever be on the Walk Of Fame. That is really quite a privilege to be here.”

As previously reported on NME.COM, Cooper, most famous for hits such as ‘School’s Out’, ‘Poison’ and ‘Under My Wheels’, joins Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson and most recently Britney Spears on the star-studded pavement.
