Amy Winehouse has flown from an Essex clinic to a London surgery for a brain scan.

The 23-year-old was ordered by doctors to have the scan after a she had a seizure during an alleged overdose.

Medics fear the former Brit School student may have a form of epilepsy which could have gone undetected until now.

The star was admitted to University College London Hospital last Wednesday after missing a concert in Norway.

Although her record label, Island Records, said she was suffering from severe exhaustion national newspapers have said her collapse was due to a drink and drug overdose.

Amy flew from The Causeway clinic in Essex yesterday where it is believed she was receiving treatment following the alleged overdose.

She then returned to her Camden home with husband Blake Fielder-Civil before visiting the private surgery in central London.

It is believed Amy’s family are concerned she has left the clinic fearing she won’t continue to get treatment.
