Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” featuring Jamie Foxx posted a 10th straight week atop the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart Thursday, becoming the second-longest No. 1 of 2005.

The record is held by Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together,” which held the top spot for 14 weeks non-consecutively.

R&B rookie Chris Brown’s “Run It!” posted another week at No. 2, and rose to No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, bumping Young Jeezy’s “Soul Survivor” featuring Akon to No. 2.

Songs in Hot 100 positions 3-6 hold tight, led by the Black Eyed Peas’ “My Humps” at No. 3, “Soul Survivor” at No. 4. Nickelback’s “Photograph” at No. 5, and Sean Paul’s “We Be Burnin”‘ at No. 6.

Kelly Clarkson’s “Because of You” rose one place to No. 8, while T-Pain’s “I’m Sprung” rose three places to No. 8. Mariah Carey’s “Shake It Off” stayed at No. 9 and her new single “Don’t Forget About Us” jumped six places to No. 20.

Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” held at No. 10.

Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus, Take the Wheel” was this week’s top debut, crashing in at No. 48. Also new were Beyonce’s “Check on It” featuring Slim Thug (No. 72), Nelly’s “Grillz” featuring Paul Wall, Ali & Gipp (No. 84), Lil’ Wayne’s “Fireman” (No. 91) and Shinedown’s “Save Me” (No. 92).

Alejandro Sanz topped Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart for a 23rd non-consecutive week.
Rob Thomas’ “Lonely No More” led the Adult Contemporary airplay chart for a 14th. Keith Urban’s “Better Life” and Nine Inch Nails’ “Only” led the Hot Country Songs chart and the Modern Rock airplay tally, respectively, both for a fifth week. Shinedown’s “Save Me” ascends to No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock airplay chart, replacing Nickelback’s “Photograph.”
