The ‘hood was hopping Tuesday when shots were fired during a video shoot for rapper J-Kwon in his hometown of St. Louis.

And no, the gunplay was apparently not part of the video.

Four bullets struck an unoccupied police van parked near the set. No injuries were reported.

Cops hope to go to the videotape for help in identifying the culprits in the shooting, which occurred just after 4 p.m., while the “Tipsy” singer taped his video at a liquor store and in a vacant lot.

The filming attracted hundreds of fans, which tied up local traffic. But authorities don’t believe the shots fired from a passing car were aimed specifically at cops on the scene to control the crowd.

The looky-loos scattered after the shots were fired.

According to J-Kwon (born Jerrell Jones) the gunshots were not scripted, nor were they fired by anyone in his crew. A rep for the 18-year-old rapper told reporters the entire J-Kwon camp would cooperate with the investigation.

Helped by the infectious party anthem “Tipsy,” J-Kwon’s debut album, Hood Hop, entered the Billboard charts earlier the month at number seven, selling more than 125,000 copies. He was in St. Louis filming a video for his second single, the album’s title track.
