C-Murder is getting a second chance to prove his claim that he’s no killer.

The rapper was convicted last year of second-degree murder for shooting a teenager to death outside a Louisiana nightclub.

He was sentenced to a mandatory life sentence in prison.

However, on Tuesday, a judge ruled that C-Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller, deserves a new trial.

State District Judge Martha Sassone’s ruling was based on her finding that prosecutors in the original trial withheld key information about witnesses they called to implicate him, defense lawyer Ron Rakosky said.

Rakosky argued in court documents that prosecutors failed to reveal their key witnesses’ criminal records to the defense and that the witnesses were given special considerations in exchange for their testimony.

Prosecutors have said they will appeal the decision.
