R&B singer Faith Evans and her husband, record executive Todd Russaw, were arrested in Hapeville, Ga., on drug possession charges. Evans and Russaw were charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana and booked at the Fulton County Jail, according to WSB-TV. A spokesperson at the Hapeville Police Department would give no details.
Evans, 30, recently appeared in “The Fighting Temptations” alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. and BeyoncĂ© Knowles. Her most recent album, “Faithfully,” was released in 2001 by Bad Boy, but her official Web site reported last summer that a new set was being targeted for early 2004.
A native of Newark, N.J., Evans recently moved to the Atlanta area.
