Nude paintings of Madonna are to go on display at a London art gallery.
The pictures, including a young Madonna posing for the front cover of Rolling Stone magazine, form part of Steve Kaufman’s Celebrities exhibition.
Kaufman says his work attempts to explore the impact of celebrity on contemporary culture.
The collection also features images of Britney Spears, Pamela Anderson, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, Mohammed Ali, the Rolling Stones and Kurt Cobain.
Kaufman is best known as the former assistant to Andy Warhol. His first solo exhibition will be shown at The Deluxe Gallery in East London from November 20 to 26.
